Brian began playing bass at the age of 13. As a teenager, he was enthralled with his parent's music collection of classic rock, jazz, and folk music. As a young man he played in the Youth Jazz Orchestra at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, and joined his friend Quincy Mumford in putting together a touring band. At the age of 18 he toured the East Coast and shared stages with Tedeschi Truck Band, G Love, Umphrey's Mcgee, Rusted Root and others. In 2012, Brian auditioned and earned a spot at the Collective School of Music in NYC, and studied under some of the world's top session players including Lincoln Gaines, Leo Traversa, Sheryl Bailey and more. Brian has worked as a professional gig player for the likes of Dana Fuchs, Nicole Atkins, Brielle Von Hugel, Gedeon Luke the People, and Jermaine Paul. Brian is an amazing session player known throughout the tri-state area. His accomplished background, his extensive professional experiences, and his keen ear have turned this musical talent into a teaching master. He is dedicated to bringing students a musical instruction program that is driven by his passion for playing.
