Cori Larsen received her Bachelors of Music Degree in Vocal Performance, with a concentration in Music Management from William Paterson University. Cori studied Classical Vocal Performance, and Opera, under Nils Neubert, Nan Guptill-Crain, Stephen L. Bryant and Warren Helms, where she was part of the Opera Workshop Ensemble. She studied Chorale under the tutelage of Stephen L. Bryant and Karen Borne Cafaro. Cori's training has focused on Classical Music, however, she is an avid lover of Musical Theatre, and continued her studies in Musical Theatre and Pop Vocal techniques. Her students have gained admittance into prestigious programs including the New Jersey All State and All Shore Choirs, and have achieved acceptance, with scholarship, into College Universities around the country. Cori has been the Drama Advisor and Vocal Director of various High School programs, and has been very successful in elevating student performers to their highest level of performance. Many of them receiving Paper Mill Playhouse - Rising Star Nominations, for their various roles in their respective High School Musicals.
Cori strives to help her students be as well rounded as possible, stressing the importance of classical technique, ear training, and music theory, in addition to teaching them pop, traditional, and contemporary Musical Theatre Styles. Her teaching style focuses on the marriage of building confidence along with technique, to help her students grow exponentially. Cori also teaches beginner piano and music theory.
Although Cori has performed in various Musicals, Dramatic Plays, and Operatic Scenes herself, she derives the most joy from watching her students excel on their Vocal and Performance journey.
