Violin Instructor

Mevlan began his studies at the Bilkent University Music and Performing Arts Preparatory School, and upon his acceptance to the prestigious Chetham's School of Music in Manchester, United Kingdom he received further tutelage from Jan Repko. He went on to complete his Bachelor's degree in London's Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Jacqueline Ross. Mevlan recently earned his Master's degree from the Yale School of Music, as an Irving S. Gilmore Fellow, under the guidance of Hyo Kang. He is an award winner of several violin competitions, including the Queen Sophia Charlotte Competition in Germany, Gulden Turali in Turkey, Remember Enescu in Romania, and a finalist of the York Chamber Music Competition in the United Kingdom. Mevlan was featured as a soloist with such orchestras as the Bilkent Symphony, Presidential Symphony of Turkey, Bursa State Symphony, Mersin Chamber, and Azerbaijan National Symphony. He is a dedicated performer and instructor, and his students will benefit greatly from his ability to convey the playing techniques of classic European violinists.
